Here are a few things to look forward to:

Fireside

In four stone caves of the New Waverley Arches the popular Edinburgh bar Paradise Palms has teamed up with the street food market The Pitt to create a cosy Christmas retreat from the busy city streets. In each of Fireside’s four arches you can find a bar, games room, feasting hall and a ‘danceteria’. Certainly one to look forward to.

Out of the Blue Xmas Arts Markets & Bruncheon

On the 9th and 16th of December The Out of the Blue Drill Hall will host over 100 artists with all their work available to buy. This market covers every artistic inclination from paintings, prints and photography to fashion, jewellery, interior design and ceramics. After a busy shopping spree the Drill Hall Arts Café will be open offering hearty dishes to keep you going.

Edinburgh Christmas Vintage Fair

With the retro look becoming more and more popular, second-hand shops and vintage fairs are in high demand. If you are still on the search for Christmas presents or feel like treating yourself then Lou Lou’s Vintage Fair and retro clothing haven will undoubtedly tempt the purse. As the winner of Best Vintage Fair for three years running this Christmas fair special is not one to miss.

Edinburgh Indoor Market

After eight years unused the Leith Biscuit Factory has recently been renovated into an inclusive multi-purpose arts hub and on the 16th and 17th of December is opening its doors to Edinburgh Food Social’s Edinburgh Indoor Market. This market has something for everyone to enjoy whether you’re hoping to shop the crafts, listen to the music or simply grab a drink with friends. All proceeds go to Edinburgh Food Social who are helping to teach cooking skills in schools and communities around the capital.

Christmas Cocktail Club

A consortium of Edinburgh’s popular cocktail bars have teamed together in the Opal Lounge to provide an array of delicious cocktails helping to kickstart the Christmas merriment. Wristbands cost only 2 pounds which guarantee any cocktail of choice for only 4 pounds and cans of Brewgooder for 3. The wristband profits will go towards Brewgooder’s campaign to provide clean water to over 1 million people.
